One Man’s View

Want a place to vent in a civilized, constructive manner?

Then you have come to the right place.

For the last 5 years I have watched this nation head toward the largest foreign policy, financial and societal train wreck in history, the train is picking up speed and I feel helpless to do anything about it.

My thought processes go well past partisan politics.  It’s not about Republican versus Democrat or Left versus Right.  It’s about honor and ethics in in worldwide government in general, and specifically in Washington D.C.  It’s also about power.  As William Pitt the Elder, The Earl of Chatham and British Prime Minister from 1766 to 1778,  said in a speech to the UK House of Lords in 1770:  “Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who possess it.”  Today, this statement couldn’t be more true.

We’ll talk about a lot here:  The Constitution (and abuses thereto), Immigration, Health Care, Foreign Policy, Abortion, Gun Rights/Control, Congress (term limits, anyone?), the Presidency, the Supreme Court and where this once great nation is going.  It should be both fun and enlightening.

So sit back, relax and take a look around… you might find something worth putting in your 2¢.
